Wenatchee Camping by Mark Stone

July 2010. I try to take Nathan camping at least a couple of weekends each summer. The weather finally warmed up enough for our first outing this summer: Wenatchee National Forest near Lake Chelan.

Nathan also had an amazing encounter with a deer. She was afraid of me, but walked right up to Nathan. I was fortunate enough to capture the moment on video; this is the stuff that makes childhood seem magical:
